Compared with the previous war, the modern battle is becoming more and more intelligent. In the real fighting, battle management system (BMS) is the key to build the intelligent battleground. The whole BMS is working in the environment which has several parts. Command center can use BMS manage the battle units which include Navy, Army and Air force; the single unit can use BMS manage the persons and weapons which belong to itself. In that case, it is necessary to build a network system to connect the persons and weapons in the battle. For the reason that more and more units took part in the system, the network system becomes more and more complex, and the communication quality directly influences the battle efficacy, so it is important for us to detect the communication quality of the network system.This paper proposed a detecting method to handle the problem in the current circumstances, and regard the single network system in the war-chariot as a research object, at last an ARM circuit board was designed and debugged in Hardware. This ARM circuit board used LPC2378as the processor, and could develop five parts which include RS-232, RS-485, CAN, ZigBee, and Ethernet in Software. This paper principally introduced something like the debugging of every part, the choice and design of the transfer protocol, the data conversion of every two parts, the programming in PC, and the software method to detect the delay and lost of the message.Totally, this paper did those three key jobs bellow:(1) In hardware, this paper designed an ARM circuit board which had several kinds of interface, and did some debugging and testing on them.(2) At the help of a router, this paper used several circuit boards that we designed to build a simulated network system in the laboratory.(3) This paper did some testing of the delay and the lost at the network system in the laboratory, and also made some analysis.
