Ruins park is that under the background of urbanization, solving theproblems caused by the conflict relationship in the product of thecultural heritage protection and renewal of the urbanization process.Researching ruins park landscape space design methods and introducingsimulation as main demonstration technological means is the basic twoaspects this dissertation discusses about.This article took ruins park as the object of study. Built on the boardfoundation of relics and heritages protection both domestic and overseas,guiding documents and principles, even relevant cases, making an accuratepositioning of the properties of ruins park. By the evidence ofresearching the existing ruins park and simulation projects, finding outthe correspondent social problems. Through the analysis of the socialproblems which heritages currently faced with, summarizing and puttingforward the design principles applicable to the ruins park landscapespaces. Transforming social problems into professional problems, so asto solve the social problems via specified solutions.The research is emphasis on the construction method based on the spatialsystem applicable to the ruins park, space theory as the supportivetheoretical basis of ruins park landscape design. On the basis oflandscape spatial construction, the principle and approaches ofsimulation were introduced to guide the planning and designing, andcreating comparative factors between space system and simulation method,then integrating the factors into an inductive operational method.Combined with the research, analysis and design proposal of Ancient SongKingdom Ruins Park project, discussing the theoretical and practicalvalue of simulation in the landscape design of ruins park.
