Anchor lip, as a part of anchor system, has the surface morphology of complex curvedsurface. Complex shape surface is attributed it to meet the performance requirements ofmotion. The lips are always designed by the experience of the staff with wooden anchorexperiment design, which is not only time-consuming, laborious, but also caused a lot ofwaste materials. This paper, through the analysis of domestic and foreign surface designtechnology, puts forward a new surface design philosophy. The philosophy of the design isbased on the envelope principle, through the virtual machining technology,on the premise ofpath planning, combined with the knowledge of dynamics,to design the surface with virtualenveloping cutting technique. After experimental verification, the anchor lip surfacemorphology designed by this method can satisfy the performance requirements.Secondly, as a multi-rigid-body system, the anchor system contains various parts whichinteract with each other by means of contact constraint. In order to establish reasonableanchor system dynamics model for simulation calculation, the collision dynamicsknowledge system are described systematically, the parameters in ADAMS value, thecontact computation model of the ADAMS and the simulation collision judge rules in theADAMS are all detailed introduced and analysed,After the geometry modeling of keycomponents of the300000tons ore ship anchor system are created in the use of UG, thevirtual prototype model of the anchor system based on ADAMS are builded.In addition, in order to study the influence of various parameters of anchor system onanchor pulling, the optimization of orthogonal experiment design ware carried out based onthe original anchor system parameters of300000tons ore ship. the four parameters,theanchor pulling speed, principal curvature of anchor lip, the hawse pipe angle and anchor lipmounting surface angle, were studied by orthogonal experimental design and anchorsimulation experiment. By using response surface method and the principle of mathematicalstatistics,the data of experimental results were analysed and calculated of fitting,significant sequence of various parameters and the optimal combination of parameters arefinally obtained.Finally, in order to improve the anchor simulation efficiency, the further developmentof anchor system of special simulation module based on the ADAMS system platform was carried out, which not only integrates all function simulation settings, and constraints can beimplemented directly added, these greatly saves the time of dynamics modeling.
