The fambe ceramic of Nixing in Qinzhou, a city in province Guangxi, is very good to bedecorations, what makes the ceramic there one of the four most famous ceramic in China. How toinherit tradition and to be creative is very important for the development of the ceramic in Nixing,and also in Guangxi.On the way of being creative, people try to make the ceramic in Nixing be extraordinary, notonly the different shapes and the novel decoration, but also the unique fambe. In the last few years,we can see subtle changes in the decoration of the ceramic in Nixing. In many workshops,experimental firing is used to glaze the ceramic in Nixing, which stems from the change of theiraesthetic points.Adhering to the principle of inheriting the tradition and seeking innovation, this thesis,reaches the firing process of Nixing ceramic billet with low melting glaze from the practicalperspective and investigates the creation of national decoration crafts of this new work. To inheritthe long history of the firing technique and obey to the fantastic change feature after the kiln isopened, part of the experiments is done with the help of steam kiln. To adjust the research toproduction, the clay produced by Yaohua Company is used during the whole process. No extrachemical composition is used. To remain the natural feature of the Nixing ceramic, no mud orsand from other areas is used. Nixing ceramic’s exquisite and smoothy feature are well kept. Tomake sure the product retain a high reflecting rate, Low temperature colored glaze fromJingdezhen and foshan has been chosen instead of the clay glaze which is used by the local peoplefor crude ceramics.There are four parts in this paper. The results of the research are summarized at the first part.The second part is about the methods of firing. The next part seeks the artistic effect of thecombination. Three low-fire glaze works with national styles, whose height is between45to60cm, are the achievements of this thesis. Both the experimental work and the original work areparts of my exhibition of ceramics during the postgraduate education.Because of the limited time and energy, the thesis only catches a glimpse of the research.This means there are still a lot to be dug out. According to the author, low-fire glaze ceramic of Nixing is a creati ve variety with a bri ght future.
