At the package line of cigarette factory, it is necessary to check if there is a lack of cigarette in each pack. As such, we get rid of the unqualified. At present, most of the domestic cigarette factories adopt the testing equipment based on photoelectric method, but there are some disadvantages, for example, the testing elements are to be used, and the testing signals are easily to be affected by the color of tobacco. So, the misjudgment happens frequently.This passage describes a new type of on-line testing method. The method based on X-ray is adopted in order to carry out the imaging testing for cigarette. In the entire the testing system, the design of imaging module plays a large role. Firstly, this passage introduces the relevant features of X-ray and its imaging development. And then, it makes us know about the x-ray digital real-time imaging technique. The new type of imaging method is written in this passage and it has some advantages such as easy operation, low cost, high testing efficiency and rapidness, etc. The linear detector array is used as sensor, and FPGA is adopted as core processor. LDA and FPGA coordinates with AD converter, Camera link transmission line and image transfer card to achieve digital real-time imaging. To improve the imaging quality and testing efficiency, the late enhancement is done for the collected cigarette images at the upper-position machine.This passage emphatically analyses and designs the technique of the lower-position machine (LDA ray camera) of the system and the imaging processing technique used at the upper-position machine. At present, we have finished the work including cigarette imaging, image enhancement, insufficiency judgment and others, and achieved the desired effect.
