With rapid development on economy, modern industry production marches with high level-performance and great diversity. For the accommodation of the modern industry, high efficiency which applied to the mould design and manufacture was proposed. Furthermore, having been accompanied with wide application in CAD/CAM and CNC technology, the term of mould design and manufacture has been greatly shortened. It has made both the quality and high precision possible, of which has accelerated the renewal of the products.Due to the rapid evolution and widespread use of die CAD design technology, the die design period and trial molding process are reduced and simplified greatly. Concurrent design is the main method in the field of mould design now, which is a method that focuses on the integration of process and function. During the process of design and optimization, different tasks at each stage and each part can cooperative work simultaneously to achieve shorter develop cycle and high efficiency. In this paper concurrent design is applied to CAD design the heater window mould, specially, standards are suggested to choose during the process of precise design of negative and positive mould, so as to improve the precise and efficiency.During the mould processing, CNC shortens the manufacturing cycle with low costs obviously, since simulating cut before mould processing can optimize the whole manufacture constantly attaining high promotion machining accuracy. In the paper adopts Delcam automatic programming and simulating processing to the heater window die.Then with advanced high speed cutting processing, accomplished the rough macining and optimal accutate machining on the same tool. In a whole, with only40%of the traditional processing time,1/3of the traditional electrode consumption and25%of the cost, the manufacturing cyce has been greatly shortened.Advanced processing technology brings about short cycle of design and manufacture, high accuracy and efficiency, and low cost of produce and develop. One effective method about the application of CAD/CAM in mould design and manufacture is proposed and promoted in mould industry.
