As an important chemical raw material, acrylonitrile has very broad applicationprospects. In acrylonitrile production plant, the refining process include the purification ofacetonitrile, hydrocyanic acid and acrylonitrile, from the reaction gas after quench system.The process has large links to other production process, so researching the process haspractical significance to improve the rate of acrylonitrile recovery and the energyutilization.The main object of study was the refining process of acrylonitrile production plant of212,000tons/year in Jilin Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. First of all, this process wassimulated with chemical process simulation software PRO/Ⅱ.And the thermodynamicequations for the system were searched. The simulation program consistent with the actualproduction was obtained by verifying the reliability of simulation results. Next, the mainprocess parameters improving the rate of acrylonitrile recovery and energy utilization ofthe plant were analysed. The relevant process parameters were optimized with lowconsumption. This study has the significance of direction and guidance for the plant’sactual production operation.
