Hypsometric integral as a Macroscopic landscape development Index, There are many scholars use hypsometric integral study on regional landform development, hypsometric integral has a clear meaning and physical meaning. This paper reviews geomorphological theory and quantitative expression of the development history of landform development, selection hypsometric integralas is the best starting point of the landform landforms, with small drainage area of the Loess Plateau elevation integral development in order to reflect the regional landforms in the area, hypsometric integral as the basic research methods, combining the geography, geomorphology, statistics, computer information science theory, using DEM data as basic data source, using ARCGIS, EXCEL and other software as a platform, taking small watershed as the research objects to reflect the area elevation distribution characteristics in different watershed space integral.This paper introduces hypsometric integral with the concept, method, characteristic and meaning, in the course of the experiment showed that the method of theory and method system is not perfect, so the study area distribution characteristics of ao hypsometric integral space before, factors affecting area of the hypsometric integral of specific research and analysis, first of all analysis of relationship between DEM data resolution and area of the hypsometric integral, area of the hypsometric integral characteristic scale second basin in different level is different, the area of the hypsometric integral and hypsometric integral sampling distance relationship, from the three aspects of concrete analysis of the influence factor area of hypsometric integral, the theoretical basis for the subsequent research play.In the study hypsometric integral space, first selection of the Dali River Basin as the research object, chooses the different sub basins in different sections of the basin, and different levels of analysis of the characteristics of different section size, elevation integral, changes in River downstream to upstream area elevation points, and the elevation of the watershed area of nested integral feature. Based on the Loess Plateau landform types, choose different types of topography geomorphology unit, calculate the area elevation in different types of landscape integration, analyzes the characteristics of different types of geomorphology of the area elevation integral. On the basis of uniform selects the Loess Plateau of135small watershed as the research object, making the North Shaanxi loess plateau area of hypsometric chart.When analyzing the different sections of the sub watershed area of hypsometric integral, found in the downstream area of the hypsometric integral value is very close to, in order to further explain the developmental riff basin in different region, this paper put forward a bold erosion than this one brand-new concept, analyzes the area of the hypsometric integral and erosion than the link between, on the other hand reflection on the disadvantages when area of the hypsometric integral development of small watershed in the study, trying to use this method to explain the erosion landform.The innovation points of the thesis are summarized as:1, to study the hypsometric integral by many scholars of the development, based on the previous research, the first to feature sub watershed area elevation points in different sections and different features between hypsometric integral.2, the erosion than the preliminary theory, attempts to study the erosion ratio of landform development, development at different regions from a new perspective of landform, attempts to solve the area elevation integral does not adapt in the micro field, and reflection in the use of small watershed extraction time area elevation integral human destruction of the inner correlation between the small basin and basin.
