In recent years, research of typhoon waves are attached attention, the coastal area wavecondition is related to people’s life. This paper sets up a typhoon waves’ simulation model on theZhejiang sea by the using of spectrum wave model. The source item parameters of wind modeland wave model are assigned values by testing, White capping, bottom friction, wave breakingand the other source item parameters are investigated on the effect of the model. In this paper, Ivalidate Zhejiang ocean wave model by the measured data. The typhoons landed Zhejiangprovince can be divided into three typical typhoons, and three typical typhoons are simulated byusing of the typhoon wave model. This paper focuses on the typhoon waves’ propagation anddevelopment which is near-shore in the Zhejiang province. By analyzing of typhoon waves’propagation and development, concludes are concluded as follows:(1)The typhoon wave model is suitable for analyzing typhoon waves’ propagation anddevelopment for Zhejiang sea.(2)In the spectrum wave model numerical experiments, white capping has an obvious effect ofsignificant wave heights, bottom friction has a influence of significant wave heights, wavebreaking can small affect the result of the simulation results. When waves spread from deep toshallow, waves are broken near the coast, so we need to open it.(3)The point’s significant wave heights have experienced four stages when the point is in thetyphoon center area, the four stages is rise, low, rise again and low again. When the point is outof the typhoon center area, it only has experienced rise and low.(4) The waves in the right of moving path growing fast, and its significant wave heights in theright far higher than the left ones, become a dangerous half a circle. Significant wave heightsincrease of maximum value appeared at the right of the moving route in the tenth level wind.(5) The maximum significant wave height in the moving path appear at front wall of typhoon eye,and the maximum significant wave height outside the typhoon eye appears when it closed to thetyphoon eye.(6)The maximum significant wave height generated by typhoon which land in Zhejiang appear ateast of Zhoushan island, and the minimum significant wave height appear at north of the island.
