With the development of human society entering into an information age, thegovernment’s administrative mode has been the requirements of the times from the"transitional government"to"service-oriented government".The government informationand online service is an important measure for the construction of service-orientedgovernment". E-government is one of the elements of a city to improve the corecompetitiveness, With ChengDu City as the southwest region "three center two hub"and the national sub provincial city, PiXian is a Western County of ChengDu City Inrecent years,e-government has been rapid development in PiXian.It introduces the related concept of e-government and describes e-governmentdevelopment significance;It studies and expounds development history, developmentstatus and experience of some developed countries abroad e-government;It describesChinese e-government development and characteristics in recent thirty years;For thestudy of West County of PiXian e-government development present situation,characteristics, and the existing problems, the paper uses the questionnaire form throughthe Internet and field survey in PiXian to study the development of e-government,e-government reasons most commonly used application system, the most commonapplication projects, the construction of information system model, the benefits ofe-government, E-government of the department benefit, e-government in the process ofimplementation problems in-depth investigation, statistical analysis; On the basis of theinvestigation of E-government in Pixian, the paper elaborates existing problems, andputs forward some suggestions on how to accelerate the development of PiXiane-government; Finally the paper puts forward some research development trend offuture e-government.
