| The Worship of dragon has a long history in our country, but the story of dragon king and his daughter is evolved by the Indian buddhist literature. The naga stroy in Vedic era Indian epic mahabharata and ramayana is the prototype of the dragon king and his daughter’s story in Buddhism. With the rise of Buddhism, these stories were included in the sutra literature, along with the spread of Buddhism and continue to influence Western regions and Central Plains.The story of the dragon king’s daughter in Kustana was written in Buddhist Records of the Western Word,which forms a connecting link between the preceding and the following,have the common characteristics both in India and central plains.It is formed later than India and earlier than the Central Plains.
