Development of self-expression skills are important aspects of adolescents’ self-development, have great significance for their self-development and social adaptation. Middle-school period is a very important period of the individuals’ physical and mental development, especially at a critical stage of self-development,"self-centered" appears again, strengthen the students’ sense of independence, made them pursue adult sense. Their expression levels decline rapidly with parents, especially with same-gender parent as the first express target and reference object of everyday life in the past, change into more communication with the peers. To the change of middle-school students, their parents did not detect, adapt, and adjust the treatment with children, resulting to reduced parent-child interaction, family tensions, and conflict-prone. This change mainly due to the development of self-concept and the sense of independence, wishing parents treated in an adult manner, however, because of their own change, they need a new (adult’s style) self-expression skills, but they failed to quickly grasp as a result.This research was the study of this phenomenon, from theoretically analysis self-expression skills of concept, cleared its connotation and extension, and explored middle-school students’ self-expression skills of constitute dimensions, established middle school students’ self-expression skills model, in order to provide theories for the evaluation and training on middle school students’ self-expression skills. This research also guided the middle school students’ parents to adapt their children’s physical and mental development, timely to adjust their parenting style, and treatment to their children, in order to promote family harmony. This study adopted qualitative research methods, based on the literature analysis, used the theory of constructivism, structured a students’ self-expression skills constitute theory model and featured stories to interview60students which in second grade of the junior high school and sophomores in high school in Hanchuan city of Hubei province, for their self-expression skills examined in the context of the family. Used SPSS22.0statistical software to analysis the information collected from interviews to test and verify the model’s dimensions, reliability and validity of the study, also drew on the quantitative statistical methods, including variance analysis, project analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis to test the model, and obtained the final structural model after modified.Study results showed that the construction of students’ self-expression skills model was well structured, including two dimensions:expression situations and expression manners. Among them, the situations included negative situation and positive situation, expression manners were divided into expressions of language, emotion and action.
