The Research On Yu Que And His Qing Yang Corpus

Yu Que, who is from Luzhou Hefei, is a politician and litterateur of late Yuan dynasty. His ancestral home is Hexi. Futurities call him Mr.QingYang, whose QingYang Corpusis(青阳集)propagated to later generations. The corpus records many historical events and customs with detailed contents and smooth words. It is a valuable documentary literature, which is not only for literature, but also for historical data and philology.On the basis of sufficient materials, the thesis absorbs and learnsfrom the previous researches. Using the methods and theories of history and philology, considering Yu Que and his QingYang Corpus as an object, this thesis makes summary abouthis life, the portfolio’s content and literature value.This thesis consists of four chapters.In preface, it first expounds the purpose, methods and value. Then, it analyzes the researches of academia in recent years. Finally, it describes the chapter’s arrangement of the whole thesis. According to historical books, local records, some other literature data and Yu Que’s life background, the first chapter does some research on Yu Que’s hometown,origin of his name, family and descendants’distribution. There are disagreements about Yu Que’s clan, ancestors’residence and migration process in current academic. We try to solve these problems by depending on document literature and relics. In the second chapter, it mainly describes Yu Que’s life events, officialdom career, academic personals and writings. It also makes meticulous investigations about some important historical events, which affect Yu Que very much. There are disagreements about the reason of Yu Que’s two resignations in current academia. We try to solve it in this part on basis of composite and analysis about some relevant data.The third chapter elaborates the compilation process and spreading of the QingYang Corpus’sversions from the view of philology. The QingYang Corpus was compiled by Yu Que’s disciples, Guo Kui and someone else after his death. The fourth chapter focus on the research of the content and literature values. It is the main emphasis of this thesis. QingYang Corpus is a anthology of Yu Que, which includes poetry and prose. First, it makes classification and analyses for the two parts. Then, it researches and summarizesthe literature values. Finally, there is a epilogue for the whole thesis.
