With China’s rising power and international status, more and more foreigners want to know China, and Chinese has been the best choice for the students in many countries.The basic aim of the Chinese teaching as a foreign language is to cultivate the foreign students’ability to use Chinese in cross-cultural communication. The form of address is the pioneer of social communication, it is a kind of socially strong language, and is used to express the relationship between the speaker and the listener in daily communication, the ability to use proper address lay a solid foundation for a smooth communication, and vice versa to make the communication activities difficult to smooth. The foundation stage of learning any language will be involved in learning the rules governing the use of address terms. Compared to other languages, the Chinese address terms have a complexity and diversity classification, they are a great difficulty for foreign students. How to choose and use the form of address has become a point of teaching Chinese as a second language.This paper firstly overviewed the overall of address terms, carding previous studies, define the definition and classification of address terms. Summarized the studies of Modern Chinese address terms and comparative analyses on address terms between Chinese and other languages. Combined with the "Chinese Language Vocabulary and outline hierarchy" the Chinese address terms were classified. Selected "Chinese Tutorial"ã€"Bridge:Practical Chinese Intermediate-level Tutorial" and "Develop Chinese:Advanced Chinese", which are used as the textbooks in School of International Education, Anhui University, as the object of study, counted address terms in the textbooks, took a detail analysis and made an objective evaluation of its layout of address. Then, conducted a comparative analysis on address forms between Chinese and English, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese. Based on the questionnaire survey, analyzed the acquisition of foreign students from those countries. Last but not least, this paper has proposed some opinions on the address terms teaching in the teaching Chinese as a second language.Hope can have a positive impact on teaching, more effective to improve the ability of students in learning Chinese language, so as to promote the TCFL career forward continuously. |
