| This thesis discusses the application of situational teaching method in teaching Chinese as aforeign language. It based on the studies of situational teaching method in China and abroad,combined with the second language acquisition theory, constructivism theory, cognitive learningtheory, and foreign language learning motivation theory, along with the method of literatureresearch, observation interview, logical analysis, sum up method, in order to using "Did YouEat?" as an example in teaching Chinese as a foreign language to discuss the specific process ofapplication of situational teaching method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Thisprocess contains the presentation, the specific implementation of classroom teaching, teachingevaluation and reflection.Teachers should pay more attention to teaching design in the use of situational teachingmethod in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In order to improve students’s ability toemploy and understand Chines, teachers should take full considerations about use of teachingsituation and choose appropriate situations.The design of classroom situation should follow the principle of pertinence, interests andauthenticity. A good teaching design is beneficial to stimulate students’ interests of learningChinese and accomplish teaching goals.Teachers should attach great importance to guide students with their practice after class inusing the method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The content of after-class exercisesshould be based on actual situation of students. The number of assignments need to be flexibleand variable. Besides, after-class activities should be practical. Only by this, teachers can arousestudents’ enthusiasm of learning Chinese.Teachers should pay attention to the evaluation and reflection of teaching after using themethod in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Summarize the problems of teaching designand come up with solutions. |
