| Seal engraving art have developed thousands of years. The style has transferred from poly posture in the Pre-Qin Period to standard and orderly of bounded lattice of Qin seal, then to steady and decorous of Han seal. After that, literary man start to seal cutting and make creation work consciously in Qin dynasty. The whole seal engraving history is accompanied and heavily affected by the development of Chinese politics and culture in each dynasty. Bounded lattice art reached great prosperity in Qin dynasty, then declined since Han dynasty while it is rediscovered by artist and applied in their own creation of seal engraving. Bounded lattice has developed to a unique style and occupied a very important position in the contemporary engraving works. This phenomenon is worth thinking deeply about. Based on the research of predecessors, the author started research on the bounded lattices art independently. The thesis was mainly wrote from three aspects:Firstly, make research on background of bounded lattices development from primary generation to great prosperity in Qin dynasty, its application situation after Han dynasty and effect of language evolution on its artistic style. The author tried to find development path and cause of it; Secondly, make research on the works of seal engraving artist who adopted bounded lattices art frequently. Then analyze the methodicalness of seal engraving with the combination analysis of painting and calligraphy and find the relationship among calligraphy, painting and seal. Thirdly, make a conclusion about the function of bounded lattices in seal engraving creation and apply it in seal engraving creation in the future. The above three research has reorganized the original appearance and development process of bounded lattices, make supplement on the research of predecessors and give more abundant explanation to it. |
