The quality and effectiveness of the Comprehensive Course is very importantfor learning a second language. The teaching of Comprehensive Course is acomplex process, which contains a lot of theories and methods in the area ofteaching Chinese as a foreign language.The traditional teaching of Comprehensive Course, which is based on teachingplans, usually lacks basic scientific theories and methodology as a guide. In thispaper, the author use the theory and method of “instructional design” to design theComprehensive Course,in order to improve the scientificity of the teaching inComprehensive Course. This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction. Clarify the causes and significance of thistopic, describes current research in instructional design and states the innovations ofthis paper.The second part. The theoretical basis and the composition of instructionaldesign of teaching Chinese. Instructional design of teaching Chinese is generally asubdivision of instructional design, so the second chapter not only describes thetheoretical basis of the general instructional design, but also introduces thetheoretical basis of instructional design of teaching Chinese. Describes thecomposition of instructional design, including structural elements and model.The third part. Design the Comprehensive Course concretely. By using thetheory and methods of instructional design, this paper will make a comprehensiveanalysis of the various constituent elements of instructional design, including frontanalysis, development of teaching objectives, design teaching strategies and so on,in order to make a detailed instructional design.The fourth part is the conclusion. This part summarizes the innovation and shortcomings of this paper.
