The Study Of Huang Zhongze’s Quatrains

Huang Zhongze is a famous literator in the middle of Qing dynasty. He wasfamous for poem, Ci poetry. In fact, he was especially good at poetry, calligraphy andpainting. He had kinds of poem styles. In these styles, there were a large number ofquatrains, it was rich in content and art. The discussions of Huang Zhongze’s works inpast ages paid attention to his regular-verse and ancient-style poetry, but there wereless systematic and comprehensive study on Huang Zhongze’s quatrains. Throughintensive study on Huang Zhongze’s life experiences and his LiangDang porch sets,the writer tries to make an object and impartial evaluation of Huang Zhongze’squatrains and a detailed discussion on the content and artistic feature.The thesis is composed of three chapters. In the first chapter, it introduced HuangZhongze’s life experiences and his important friendship, the article discussed thecreation origin and effect of Huang Zhongze, the author compared Huang Zhongze’svarious styles with all previous dynasties poet, pointed out that the creativeachievement of Huang Zhongze’s quatrains must be the result of his temperament,learning, initiative, and his innovation, this also explained why he has profound effecton later generations, thereby confirmed his historical position. In the second chapter,According to Huang Zhongze’s life experiences and creative style, the author dividedthe quatrains into three periods, and the quatrains can be divided into eight parts:Farewell poems, Poems presented between frinds, poems on paintings, Meditating onthe poems of history, poems of homesickness and a longing for somebody, poems ofexpression, poems of thinking woman in the Boudoir, poems of praise and expressionof one’s feeling. Through analyzing the contents in detail, the author summarizedthree features of his content. In the third chapter, the author analyzed the artisticfeature of Huang Zhongze’s quatrains from the inner form, and analyzed the characterof structure, lyrical way and image system.
