At the beginning this century, as the full time compulsory education of the music curriculum standard (Experiment Draft), and ordinary High school curric ulum standard (Experiment Draft) and compulsory education of the music curric ulum standard and some symbol papers promulgated, China’s basic music educat ion ushered a largest scale and strongest sweeping reforms. Chorus get more and more important in the basic music education. So the music teacher’s chorus and conductor skill will influence the quality of the basic music education directly. This research based on three representative universities (Chongqing) that opened the major of the music normal school. We did a text analysis the teaching prog ram of the chorus and conductor course. At the same time,we made a question naire survey on some of the current students and graduates (music teachers on the job), mainly inspect if these music teachers that graduates from the university got the ability about teaching chorus and conductor of the basic music education. Bas ed on the analysis of the information, discuss the reform direction of the course of the chorus and conductor of the university’s music (normal school).This study is divided into four parts, The introduction part mainly introduces the research background, significance, research content and so on. The first chapte r mainly analyzed individual case about the text information and extracurricular ch oral activities on basic music education "music curriculum standard" and "music". study on the specific requirements of choral music teachers in the chorus and com mand skills in basic music education. At the same time, study on the text informat ion about chorus and command course "Syllabus" of the three universities, and ho w did university cultivate the music teacher’s chorus and command skills. In the s econd chapter, made questionnaire survey on the three college students and gradua te students (in-service music teachers) investigated the practical teaching of Univer sity Chorus and command course, and the actual skills needs situation in the in-ser vice music teachers in the school chorus and command. The third chapter combine s text analysis and research findings actual situation, to explore the direction of ref orm school teacher professional choral music colleges and command courses, the a uthor of the research on the actual situation of the music teacher, conductor of the choir and put forward several proposals for reform curriculum.
