All kinds of temptations and pressures brought by the rapid development of social economy make college students easily to lose themselves in the process of self-develop-ment,deviate from the initial goal of life,they don’t know what they want,and what kind of person they want to be.In this case,the college students can easy to produce self-alienation,increasing dissatisfaction with real life.How-ever,individual always need to access basic needs,such as recognition,communication,a sense of belonging. When these needs are not well get in real life,self-alienation of college students are likely to express their emotions,get recognition and acceptance through the internet platform.Once the needs are met,this part of students are more likely to form psychological and psychological dependence on the internet,resulting in the internet addiction.On the basis of the existing literature and empirical survey data,the present study from the perspective of self-alienation,compiled the high reliability and validity of the self-alienation questionnaire,by measuring the analysis of1,000College students,to explore the influence of self-alienation impact of internet addiction and further explore self-esteem and social support among self-alienation and internet addiction relationship.The results of this research revealed that:(1)The construction of self-alienation consists of five emotional factors:a sense of disgust,a sense of impatience, a sense of constraint,a sense of confusion, and a sense of helplessness.The structure of self-alienation included23items,and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the total questionnaire is0.938,Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of each factor between0.690to0.867,test-retest reliability of the total questionnaire was0.831,test-retest reliability of each factor between0.810to0.854.The correlation between the total questionnaire and each factor were significantly, the CFA shows that the structure of self-alienation is rational: χ2/df=5.022, GFI=0.916, PGFI=0.653, NFI=0.917, IFI=0.932, TLI=0.913, CFI=0.932, PNFI=0.714, PCFI=0.726, RMSEA=0.063,which showed that self-alienation had good criterion validity.(2)The characteristics of college student’s self-alienation and internet addiction:in terms of gender,there were difference in a sense of helplessness,internet addiction five factors and the total scores;in terms of whether only son/girl, there were no difference in five factors of self alienation and the total scores,while there was difference in compulsion and withdrawal symptoms of internet addiction;in terms of grades,there were difference in a sense of constraint,a sense of confusion, and a sense of helplessness and total scores,there were difference in compulsive internet use,tolerance of internet addiction,time management problems and total scores.(3)Self-alienation has positively predict effect to college students’ internet addiction,they had significantly positively relation. Self-esteem and social support,respectively,as individual inside psychological roots and outside critical resource,showed a significant negative correlation between the self-alienation and college student’s internet addiction,self-esteem and social support partially mediated the relation between self-alienation and college student’s internet addiction.As we can see,college student who have higher self-alienation would have higher internet addiction,and high level of self-esteem and good social support can reduce higher self-alienation college student’s internet addiction,to protect college student’s physical and mental health. |
