Buddhism is an indivisible part of bright civilization in China since the Eastern Han Dynasty, Buddhism was introduced into China and continue with the Chinese traditional culture, the doctrine of Buddhism, Buddhist culture and art of Buddhist architecture exists in our daily life. The Liao Dynasty in ancientChina history is one of the few minority regime set up one of the first, entrenched in the north of China, with the territory continues to expand, increasingthe rule of the people, in order to stabilize the ruling foundation of Liao emperor embraced esteem buddhism. Yanjing area is the development of the political, economic, cultural center, so Yanjing area by the ancient Liao emperor attention in the Liao Dynasty, the Buddhism has been rapid development in the background of the Liao Dynasty buddhism. As the study area of this paper, Yanjing region is the most prosperous area as the Liao Dynasty Buddhism, Buddhism is also an important base for the development of the Liao dynasty.The Liao Dynasty Yanjing area of Buddhist development as the object ofstudy. The introduction part is for the current academic analysis and summaryon the research status of Buddhism in Liao Dynasty, and expounds the significance of this paper and the writing ideas. The establishment of Liao Dynasty and Liao Buddhism reason. First of all, on the development and expansion of the origin of the Liao, and the relationship between the surrounding nations andthe decay are analyzed. Secondly, the Liao Buddhism reason is divided into three aspects: coordination and secular politics, get the support; nobility of Buddhism in Chongxin; commom people belief analysis. Pagoda type and architectural style of the Yanjing area, as well as the Liao Dynasty Yanjing area monklists and analyzes. Briefly introduced the "hidden" Liao Liao Dynasty stone and Fangshan, on the "great significance" Liao Liao Dynasty stone reservoir andFangshan through analyses.
