A Report On The Translation Of Confirming Delivery: Understanding The Role Of The Hospitalized Patient In Medication Administration Safety

This is a report on the translation of Confirming Delivery: Understanding theRole of the Hospitalized Patient in Medication Administration Safety, published inQualitative Health Research of SAGE publisher. This is an academic paper onexploring the different roles of hospitalized patients and healthcare providers fromeastern Canada in safety medication administration. This report consists of four parts:Part One is the project introduction, including the background, objectives,significance and framework. Part Two is research introduction, including thetranslation theory—Peter New mark’s Text Category Theory, the background of thesource text, including the author’s information, brief introduction of the content andanalysis of the source text. Part Three mainly focuses on the translation difficulties,which lie in the style characters, linguistic features, and solving methods, such asliteral and free translation, addition and omission, conversion, inversion and so on todeal with the passive, conditional and long sentences. At last the report summarizedpreparation work, the afterthoughts, experiences and unsolved problems.
