The paper is mainly on Romance of Qiaoshi,which is one of The current-event novels during late Ming Dynasty to early Qing Dynasty.The paper approaches the author’s inner feelings to probe for the spirits of factual record and obscure writing.The paper is composed of the introduction and four chapters.The introduction part introduces the background of current-event novels and the related overall situations of research.It emphatically summarized the research status of Romance of Qiaoshi, from the textual research of version and author to the content and the theme, from historical value to artistic features.And on this basis,the paper deeply discussed the author’s state of mind and the narrative way of factual record and obscure writing.The first chapter mainly discusses the author’s state of mind. In the first section,by compared to the narrations of the people at that time and historical records of Wanli dynasty, It is concluded that the idea of the author about Wanli dynasty is one-sided.
