The focus on social problems such as women’s issues, environmental issues, the problem of colored race and other marginalized groups, make the ecological movement gradually combine with the women’s movement, which form the Eco-feminism. Eco-feminist movement goes into the field of literature, which gave birth to the Ecological feminist literary criticism."Women and Nature" is the focus of ecological feminist literary criticism, by exploring the close contact of the role, status and the root causes of the "othering"existence about women and nature, we can further reveal the achievement of patriarchy’s control over women and nature in the ideological field and social structures. From this, people can re-examine the entire human social system and overthrow the rule of nature, women and the "other" characters that have unequal treatment. Then, we may combine the liberation of women with the environmental protection as a whole. Finally, we can establish a new, harmony, health social relationships.This paper is consists of three chapters. Preface explains paper’s theme, main points and current research of eco-feminist literary criticism. The first chapter mainly explores the origin and the definition of eco-feminist literary criticism. Then, the second chapter analyses the historical, political, social, ideological domination of women and nature to explore the meaning, construction strategy, standards and characteristics of eco-feminist literary criticism based on an internal inquiry. In addition, the third chapter is the specific applications of eco-feminist literary criticism. Finally, the conclusion is reflection and prospects of eco-feminist literary criticism.Eco-feminist literary criticism is trying to change the "other" status of nature and women in the patriarchal society to an independent individual, awaking people’s awareness of environmental protection and the liberation of women. The goal of ecological feminist literary criticism is meaningful and significant in the growing problem of ecological crisis and gender oppression today.
