Research On The Culture Of Chaohu Rim

In recent years, people have been keen on the study of regional cultures. With the three major river systems, the academic community divided the Anhui culture regions into Huaihe river Culture, Wangjiang culture and Xin’an River culture. However, the three major culture regions do not cover the entire contents of Anhui culture. The Wanjiang culture only refers to the Anqing culture region whose centre is the Tongcheng city, which formed in Ming and Qing Dynasties. But it ignores the culture of Chaohu rim whose centre is Hefei city and Chaohu city.The research on Chaohu rim has only been done at home, which can be divided into two aspects. One is the research of ecological environment of Chaohu river, which aims at dealing with pollution.The other kind of research is the historical study of the regional culture in Chaohu rim., Even though some achievements on Chaohu ecological environment have been made, these studies ignore two aspects, on the one hand, the cultural research on ecological environment can’t meet the requirement of the "city and lake live in harmony", On the other hand, the existing research on regional culture in Chaohu area centers on history, such as the ones that have been mentioned above, focus on the origin of history as well as the establishment of history. But they have not take the concrete and specific cultural phenomenon and cultural characteristics into consideration. Similarly, as the Huaihe river culture, the Wangjiang culture and the Xin’an River culture get more and more attention, it is time to attach more importance on the culture of the Chaohu rim. As for the history of the Anhui culture, the Chaohu rim culture is no less than the other three regions’culture. Especially in nowadays, culture is increasingly becoming an important source of national cohesion and creativity, moreover, it is also an important factor of the overall national strength. The study of the Chaohu rim culture is helpful to future healthy and balanced development of the Chaohu rim.In the introduction part, this paper make detailed description of the background of this paper, concepts, current research, research purpose and meaning, as well as the research method. And then the following parts of the paper are:the Geographical environment and the culture location of the Chaohu city, the history of the Chaohu city, the folk traditional culture of the Chaohu city, the traits of the Chaohu rim culture and the contemporary change of the Chaohu rim culture. The natural geographic environment is the prerequisite of the production mode of the regional economy, and the production mode of the regional economy is the foundation of the region’s folk Phenomena. At the same time, the production mode of the economy is an important part of the folk culture, which fully reflects the relationship between man and nature and has distinct regional differences. Therefore, this paper makes detailed introduction of the environment of the Chaohu rim and the surrounding cultural environment of the Chaohu rim, moreover, it also introduces the historical evolution of the chaohu rim.
