This paper mainly figures on the character pattern of blue and white porcelain byJingdezhen kiln in Ming Dynasty.It is necessary to take children-playing pattern and Ladies picture respectivelydevelopment process as the main line through the unified classification of characterpattern. In addition, it is worth analyzing of the meaning of their general features anddifferent themes decoration in Ming Dynasty of each stage of development. Based onthese evidences, it will take measure of the proportion of the two themes throughoutthe Ming Dynasty characters in the story category, and make Interpretation onchildren-playing pattern and Ladies picture of blue and white porcelain in which theyreflect the cultural connotation and artistic effect in Ming Dynasty.There are five parts.The introduction part briefly introduce the reason of this topic, the research scope,and the research content of this thesis.The first chapter introduce the discoveries of character story decoration of blueand white porcelain by Jingdezhen kiln in Ming Dynasty and make a review onprevious studies.The second chapter and the third chapter analyze the meaning of their generalfeatures and different themes decoration in Ming Dynasty of each stage ofdevelopment. As for description of the status, it must be taken measure of theproportion of the two themes throughout the Ming Dynasty characters in the storycategory. Identify with the theme decoration often accompanied by moire,bamboo andother auxiliary ornamentation.Combing with their different development context,itwill pay attention to artistic effect of figure painting porcelain blank. The third chapter discussed three related issues. First, Find a relationship between“Hongwu Ban” and the main reason why blue and white porcelain has fewercharacters in early Ming Dynasty. The second part talk about the cultural connotationand the contact with children-playing pattern and Ladies picture.The last part is epilogue.
