As one of the important writers in the late of Ming Dynasty and the early ofQing Dynasty, Ding Yaokang left luxuriant literature works in his all life. Hedesired to be an officer but failed,he wanted to save the people but bustle in andout. Perhaps because of this, he was able to experience the colorful life, to makefriends with the diffrient class characters, was traveling all over the world, thenwrite these rich life feelings in his works. When the country in war, poets in thiscountry will make a lot of poetry to express their feelings.Ding Yaokang’s lifeand creation is the best annotation of this sentence. His works not onlynumerous, but also with all kinds of style, involving poetry, politics, novel,opera, essay and many other genres, and almost these are good. This article willaim at his drama creation from four aspects to discuss.Ding Yaokang created many drama works of different themes, but most ofthese have lost. Now his dramas still exist today are: Tour of Hua Ren, Tour ofChi Song, the Fan of West Lake, Notes of Expressing Loyalty. Among them,Tour of Hua Ren is an absurd theatre to express the feelings of hidden. And theTour of Chi Song is a historical drama to praise loyal subjects. And the Fan ofWest Lake in fact is a current affairs show which is just like a love play. And theNote of Expressing Loyalty is a historical drama write by order to advise peopleto be loyalty and rebuke yes-men. The four plays have different themes, but all wonderful. Ding Yaokang’s works are all have strict structure, luxuriant story,compact plot, fascinating and poetic language, lively characters and attractivesceneries. His works have the very high readability, are worth studyingcarefully.
