The international transportation line of the Northwest area during the Anti-Japanese War is one of the most secure and reliable aid route. This road delivered a large number of military material from the Soviet Union to China, making a great contribution to the Anti-Japanese War and the Northwest development. The general route of this international line is:the Soviet Union-Urumqi-Ha mi-An Xi-Suzhou-Liang Zhou-Lanzhou. There are two reasons to set up this line:on one hand, The Chinese government needed amount of military aid of the Soviet Union; on the other hand, The Soviet Union wanted China to contain Japan in order to protect itself. At that time, due to the fiscal difficulties faced by Chinese Government and lack of foreign exchange, most military material were traded by goods, not in cash. In a word, most military aid from the Soviet Union was definitely through this international transmit into the battlefront of the Anti-Japanese war.Based on the arrangement and study of the status of this international transportation line, the article mainly analyzed the attributes of this line refer to local historical material and public documents, thus reconfirming the function and position of the international transportation line in all the international aid to China during the Anti-Japanese War.
