in order to enhance the fostering of teachers of chines to beworking in non-English speaking countries, Hanban/Confucius InstituteHeadquarters held a one-year term intensive training class to teach the languageof Portuguese to Chinese teachers who are designated to work in Portuguesespeaking countries. As one of the trainees, this writer experienced the wholelearning process. From the multi perspectives of second language learner,language theories researcher and language teacher, this writer studied the adultlearners under intensive language training so as to provide an effective feedbackto the program holders, related organizations and the course of TCTSOL. Thethemes to be discussed include: language environment, learners in SLA,classroom teaching, and extracurricular teaching, etc.
