From the correlation theory to observe the process of translation, the translation process can be divided into two steps: the first step by the original author and theauthor, wherein, the original author is communication, the translator is the recipient; second stepis by the author and the readers, the author is in communication, translation is the recipient. Theauthor in the process of translation plays a dual role in communication, the exchange ofinformation and ideas plays a vital role in the process, transfer optimal relevance is thetranslation of the first principles. The paper is divided into five parts. The first part briefly introduces the research background, purpose, meaning and methods; second part of the definition of metaphor, functionalclassification, and the rise of relevance theory, express-reasoning, communication, context, andthe context of default and optimal relevance principles and how to look at from the perspectiveof relevance theory of translation studies; the third part of the main to translation Chinese andUighur cultural differences as the basis for the “Red Chamber Dream” is a metaphor of the bookis divided into the image and meaning of metaphor correspond exactly, meaning consistentmetaphor image and lack of appropriate expression three categories metaphor for these threetypes of translation strategies; fourth part introduces the impact Chinese and Uighur metaphor oftranslation; The five parts Conclusion. The article concluded, the choice of what translation or translation strategy, as long as thepremise does not violate the principle of relevance, the translator guarantee target readers with original readers to do the same in the face with a metaphor reaction, get the same feeling, toachieve the best correlation is successful.
