There are56nationalities in China. All ethnic groups live flourishing in this magical land with interdependence. Honghe Prefecture lies in the southwest border of the motherland, which has10ethnic minorities, accounting for18.1%of the nation’s minorities. Colorful ethnic cultures, the harmonious production and living scene, making Honghe minority cultures a real depicting production and living scenes instead of an empty word. The unique location and special historical culture of Honghe prefecture provides a broad space for the cultural transmission of minorities. The French built the Yunnan-Vietnam railway here in1910. Since then, all kinds of advanced civilizations have continuously swarmed into this land impacting each aspects of this ancient and magical land. Various advanced products swarmed into local people’s lives at that time, while their advanced culture also affecting this piece of ancient land which is unwilling to decline. Today, the economy is an important and strong support for cultural dissemination and development. In this particular ethnic minority areas uneven economic development leads to the uneven spread of national culture. In this context, this paper discussed the spread of cultural phenomena of minority in Honghe prefecture from a macro perspective. Criticism is launched towards the inadequate part. How to make an effective and healthy spread of minority cultures in Honghe prefecture? This paper attempts to view from the culture connotation, communication processes and methods, communicators, audiences, dissemination effects and so on to explore the characteristics of Honghe prefecture minority cultural transmission.The whole paper is divided into six parts.
