The Renaissance in Italy drives a metamorphosis change on the spaceperformance of drawing from second-dimension into third-dimension, which helps torecurrence the graphics’ realistic to reach its peak. However, after the invention ofModern Photography techniques, people can finally be released from depicting natureand recording objects’ original appearances; as a result, all different types of genres inmodern painting achieve the phase change from “recurrence” into “presentation”. Onthe account of the history in Modern Painting developments, we can drag down a cluethat is based upon the Space-time Expression; from that, we can explore the source ofample Space-time Expression in Modern Inset. In practice, only the introduction ofexterior features’ inset requires a proper graphic demonstration base on theexperiences of human’s daily visual. On the other hand, the inset works that are majorin Decoration-Expression have more focuses on the artists’ mental world; a world thatconsists no shadow, texture, and perspective under Traditional Painting, will lead to aproduction of inset that demonstrates more subjectively and willfully; which drivesthe artists to use their own subconscious to recreate a whole new graphic dimension.Inset, as a functionally art, can exert its specialty in numerous places. For instance,inset can explain the figurative letters, satisfy the needs of decoration of graphics,express emotional feelings, and rendering the atmospheres; a proper use of thegraphic dimension can easily meet the needs, that letting the presentation and themaximum usefulness of inset to tally with artists’ desires.
