With the gradually increased aging population, the society of South Korea tends to be an aging society, while some phenomena are emerging and they are concerned by the society. This reflect the importance of aging education contained in the lifelong education. In order to solve a series of problems resulted from the aging society, it is necessary to study all kinds of aspects of the aging society—no exception of Chinese language education. Therefore, this paper will take the aging population as the object in studying the current situation in Chinese teaching and proposing an improved strategy. In order to propose the improved strategy, this article will conduct a survey on students and teachers in Bushan Elderly Activity Center. From the statistical result of the survey, the operation status in Bushan Elderly Activity Center and the learners’satisfaction will be shownThis article is consisted of five parts:The first chapter is the introduction. It states the reason of choosing the topic, the purpose of the article, the content of the research, related papers and researching method.The second chapter is related theories and researching background statement. The third chapter is the current situation of educational organizations and policies in South Korea, and the Chinese language education. First, state the definition of lifelong education, and then, describe the situation of aging population in Bushan and Chinese language education.The current situation:There are16elderly activity centers in Bushan. Seven of them are holding Chinese language education program. This indicates that Chinese language education programs make up46.7%of all the elderly activity centers. One or two lessons are taught in the program. Teaching time is about60minutes, once or twice a week.Chapter four to chapter six are data analysis on the current situation of Chinese teaching in Bushan Elderly Activity Center. Teaching methods and contents, and learners’ satisfaction are investigated.Chapter seven includes suggestions for curriculum of Bushan Elderly Activity Center. They are provided for both learners and teachers. The conclusion is added at the end of the article, including sorting researching content, making conclusions, the shortcoming of the article and the future efforts.The meaning of this article is to improve the direction of teaching under the lifelong education system. I am hoping this article will make an effort in helping researchers who devote in Chinese language education in lifelong education system.
