The Research On Equity And Efficiency And The Relationship Between Them

Equity-efficiency is one of primary issues in the Field of economic ethics, at the same time considered to be an important problem in the social development. The problem that equity considered is how to allocate something in an appropriate way. But the aim of efficiency is to maximize the benefit, allocation is not considered. They are in a contradictory level.This research includes the following questions:what are implications of equity and efficiency? What is the relationship of Equity and efficiency in ethics? How to do the adjusting between equity and efficiency, in an ethics way? The views of these problems are related to the stability of society and the policy-making by national economics sector. Particularly, China undergoes profound development and endeavor to build harmonious society now.This paper includes four chapters; chapter1is on equity theory and its development; in chapter2focus turns to discuss the western efficiency theory; chapter3investigates the relationship between equity and efficiency; the final chapter4discusses How to do the adjusting between equity and efficiency, in an ethics way.
