A Practice Report On The Translation Of Technology Transfer And Cooperative Production Contract

The practice report is written based on the translation of Contract of TechnologyTransfer and Cooperative Production. The translation task is entrusted by the Kun YuTranslators Association. The translation form is translation from English to Chinese. Theauthor, as one member of the Translators Association, has the opportunity to receive thistranslation task. The author tries her best to accomplish this translation task in time and getsthe basic approval of the entrusting party. This practice report, on the basis of the translationof Contract of Technology Transfer and Cooperative Production, introduces, analyses andsummaries the translation practice. This text mainly contains five parts，namely TaskDescription, Process Description, Preparation before Translation, Case Analysis and PracticeConclusion. Task Description and Process Description briefly introduce the contents of thetranslation task and the necessary procedure of this translation practice respectively.Preparation before Translation includes four parts, namely analysis of the original text,analysis of the parallax text, and establishment of word list. Case Analysis is the mostimportant part of this practice report. Case Analysis includes three parts, namely translationof words, translation of sentences and the problems arising during translation. The last part isPractice Conclusion. In this part, the author realizes that the English translation does notmechanically translate the source language into target language. Various translation methods(such as linear translation, reverse translation, split translation) need to be used in order tomake the target text precise and normative. Meanwhile, the author also realizes the role ofparallax text in translation and the importance of Preparation before Translation.
