The Arranging And Study Of Chinese Characters Written On Coins Of Pre-Qin Dynasty That Was Unearthed In Hebei Province

This paper mainly uses the Chinese characters from <Chinese monetary system·Pre-Qin Dynasty>and <The collected money of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty from the SecondaryCapital of Yen> two books recorded as the materials, in order to study the Chinese charactersof Pre-Qin Dynasty that was unearthed in Hebei Province.As an important part of the WarringStates period,the study on the Chinese characters written on coins of Pre-Qin Dynasty,on onehand can help us sum up the true textual criticisms and explanations;on the other hand, fromthe evolution of characters on coins we can see some evolution of characters of the WarringStates period.Besides the introduction and conclusion, the full text is divided into three parts:The first part is the unearthed monetary conditions in Hebei Province.This chapterincludes two aspects, the first aspect is to introduce the situation of Hebei Province in thepre-Qin period,the second aspect is to introduce the development and evolution of thecurrency in pre-Qin period.Conduct research on Chinese characters,first we must clarify thecoin body, especially the coin unearthed in Hebei Province.Therefore, the author firstlyintroduces the situation of Hebei Province in the Pre-Qin period,mainly conclude the state thatexisted on the land of Hebei Province.The second is the pectination of currency in the Pre-Qinperiod,which can help us see the full view of it.The second part is collected textual research and explications of Chinese characterswritten on coins that was unearthed in Hebei Province.Because the coins unearthed in HebeiProvince mostly belong to the Warring States period,so the author classify them according tothe classification of the Warring States period,including: spade coins,knife-shaped coins,andround coins.Each kind is subdivided into a little different.Then the author sort the charactersand make textual research and explications of it.The third part is the research on the Chinese characters.It mainly includes two aspects,one is the study of the evolution of the characters’form and structure, the two is a summary ofthe currency characters’ feature.As a script of the Warring States period’characters,theChinese characters are in accord with the diversification of the Warring States period’characters,so the author also make classified research on the characters’form andstructure.It mainly include three aspects:simplification of characters’form and structure,dissimilation of characters’form and structure,and complication of characters’form andstructure,then the author make examples for these.At the same time, Chinese characterswritten on coins also has its unique place, so the author summary it.
