Present Situation And Protection Measures Of Lu Tusi Yamen In Liancheng

Tusi (Tusi is a kind of official position conferred for leaders of national minorityby the central government in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties) system is the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties southwest and northwest central government adopted aruling minority areas system.The central government through the feudal chieftains andlocal tribal leaders as Tusi and its domination of local people in order to maintain therule of the country on their own.Ming and Qing had been repeatedly abolish Tusisystem instead of court appointed officials, but the Tusi system did not completelyabolish individual Tusi retained until the Republic. Liancheng Lu Tusi is one of them.Lu Tusi from its ancestor Tuohuan take refuge in the Ming Dynasty, to1931wasrepealed, Liancheng region ruled for561years. Lu Tusi governance Liancheng500years time, leaving behind a magnificent and elegant the official Tusi Park building-Lu Tusi Yamen.Lu Tusi yamen, located in the Liancheng Township, Yongdeng County, GansuProvince, is the national key cultural relics protection object. It was founded in theHongwu period of Ming Dynasty. As the most intact Tusi architecture complex ofMing and Qing Dynasty, it consists of Tusi yamen, Miao Yin Temple and Tusi Garden.Lu Tusi not only holds great artistic value, but also possesses historical and heritagevalue. Preserving the Lu Tusi yamen intact is significant for exploring Tusi system ofMing and Qing Dynasty, ethnic policy and religious beliefs, etc.The first chapter, the introduction part, mainly states the reasons choosing thetopic, present research condition, research methods and content. The second chapterfocuses on the genealogy and historic influence of Lu Tusi, specifically speaking, theTusi system, genealogy of Lu Tusi. The third chapter centers on the location andarchitectures of Lu Tusi yamen. The description upon the architectures of Lu Tusiyamen and Miao Yin Temple is given based on the author’s site visits and interviews.The fourth reveals the existing problems and protection measures. After analyzing thevalue of Lu Tusi yamen, the thesis advances the suggestions solving the problems inthe process of protection of it.
