Because of the development of the commercial economy and the seeds of capitalism inthe late Ming period, the materialism gradually inflates and the social prevalence pleasures.When the economic and the superstructure largely change, the Intellectuals with theConfucianism as the elite of the society at this time could not attach the rulers’ greatimportance. They can not realize their own ideals and social values. Not finding their politicalfunctioning stage, these Intellectuals frustrating with a life of contradictions and socialconflicts Thinking, began sword easy road. Some radical Intellectuals highlight the theme ofthe "most emotion" humanistic proposition, thus giving rise to a pursuit of personal liberationthought. Intellectuals come out from Confucianism and stand on the humanism, and began tofind their own way. Literati deviant, chasing sensual good, prostitutes groups rise, the pursuitof elegant mood, Guests the prostitutes frequent exchanges became the late Ming prominentcultural phenomenon. They began to participate in the activities of social interaction andcome out from officialdom and Vanity Fair. While many prostitutes in the scholar intercourserepeatedly subjected to the literati ’s way of thinking and values influence, began to abandonthe usual habit of prostitutes towards noble personality change. Most striking in this socialbackground and cultural environment gave birth to a large number of courtesans, such as LiuRushi, Gu Mei and Chen Yuanyuan ect. They gradually change their lifestyle from sex toelegance.This article is to "intellectuals and courtesans intercourse of late Ming Dynasty" for thestudy object and the starting point, the window on the cultural perspective of the Late Ming,from both social interaction and marriage exchanges lane cut Intellectuals association ofsocial interaction as an opportunity to show late Ming era prostitute interaction characteristics,which leads to a deep-seated reasons behind the exchanges that social external environmentalreasons both political and economic and aspects of their own internal reasons. Finally, wediscuss the cultural and social significance hidden in such exchanges, and raise of female thereflection of ideological emancipation and the thinking of the reasons for the demise of theMing dynasty.
