Calligraphy art is an ancient art and culture from China, which is the classics ofChinese ethnic arts and the soul of the quintessence, and through years and the replacementof dynasties, Chinese calligraphy art experiences several changes from unconsciousness toconsciousness, from practicality to artistry and from the shape complicated to simple, whichthat all reflect its variability and artistry. Calligraphy in the changing process was affectedby influences from different aspects, such as ideology, economy, society and culture. In theera in which Lu Xun was living, he formed his unique calligraphy style which was affectedby different stimulus and implication. So this essay analyzes characteristics of his worksfrom quality, then further description Chinese brush and writing methods to find thedifferent periods, and at the meantime states the characteristics compared with the othersliterati calligraphers of same period to analyze his aesthetic ideas and impacts, which all arebased with the reason of his calligraphy style, in order to compete an essay on Lu Xun’scalligraphy style.
