The fiction language research is an important aspect of a fiction research.For a long time, people always consider novel language as the creation subject’scommunication tools. Traditional fiction language research mainly has two kinds, oneis the analysis of the structure characteristics of the fiction language, and the other isthe study of rhetorical use. Some scholars research point to the influence to therecipient. These researches are based on the traditional view of language, i.e.instrumentalism. So it always stay in the understanding of the language fragment,seem empty and dogma. It is easy to be a vitality of the fiction into numerousfragments.As language theory was put forward the last century, people started to thinkingand measuring of language and gradually realized that language was an importantmethod of human thought as well as an important carrier of national culture. Literarylanguage, as carrier of the thinking and culture, is how to express things and how torecognize things.Recognition of language is directly related to the recognition of the world. This isrecognition of the structure is people’s understanding of itself. Based on it, sometheorists began to and further explore the deep meaning of fiction language from theangle of language and culture phenomenon of fiction and the writer’s language style.Based on the change of fiction language study and from the perspective oflanguage and culture, this thesis take Wang Hailing’s fiction language as the researchobject, trying to reveal the writer’s internal life and language art extraordinary abilitythrough Wang Hailing’s fiction special language phenomenon, even reduce orreproduce the vision throughout the life of writer from its language works feature.Based on the above consideration, this thesis can be divided into six parts:Chapter one simply comb the language style and Wang Hailing’s fiction researchsituation, introduce the research context of this thesis.Chapter two compared several typical language styles. It choose the definition oflanguage style from Mr. Li Yunnan’s System Theory of Language Style, andaccording to this definition, which gradually reveals the formed factors of languagestyle, then analysis the type of language style as well as set out the research methodsof this thesis. Chapter three mainly analysis the word meaning variation, supernormalcollocation of words from the syntactic and pragmatic level as well as clarify WangHailing’s fiction language humor style.Chapter four further reveal Wang Hailing novel language plain style mainly fromthe use of a large number of common concise idioms, easy-to-understand commonsays and rich stereo image of onomatopoetic words.Chapter five study the concise style of novel language from the use of four-words and the parallelism sentence patterns in Wang Hailing’s novel.Chapter six compared Wang Hailing’s fiction language style with Fang Fang, ChiLi and Liu Liu. The uniqueness of Wang Hailing’s fiction language was humor,honest and concise by comparison.Finally, the author review and summarize full text, points out the research theoryas well puzzle of the language style, then make the forecast and prospects of theresearch.
