As China’s economy continues to develop, the “Chinese craze” continues to heatup. As the major economies of Eastern Europe, Poland has gradually started todevelop the Chinese education. Under the cooperation contract between UMCS andGDUFS, as the first volunteer in our university to serve as Chinese teacher in Poland,the author was looking for some information about Chinese education in Poland.However, she found there is only a few domestic introduction of Chinese languageteaching situation in Poland. Thus the author determined to understand the situation ofChinese education in Poland, and write an survey report about it, to provide referencefor future Chinese volunteers and teachers in Poland.During one-year internship of Chinese language teaching in Poland, the authorsummed up valuable experience with field observation of the development of Chineselanguage teaching, and recorded detailed information about Chinese languageteaching institutions and their situation in Poland. This is the first part of this report.During the practice in Poland, the author realized there are many features about PolishPotential Chinese learners which are different from other countries. Based on theconsumer expectation theory in marketing, the author carried out a questionnairesurvey which lasted for almost two months and gave out near600questionnaires,trying to understand the expectations of potential Chinese learners, using scientificmethods and statistical analysis of the survey results, and explored the major featureof potential learner group and their preference, as well as the setbacks and bottleneckof improving Chinese teaching. With the combination of qualitative analysis andquantitative analysis methods, by analyzing the statistic result from the survey, thisreport provides solid statistic data support for the experiential conclusion. This is thesecond part of this report. Meanwhile, combining the first part and second part of thisreport, the author also summarized the current problem in Chinese teaching in Poland,and gave practical solutions or teaching suggestions regarding these problems. Wehope that this report can help popularizing Chinese language as well as provideinformation and suggestions about developing the Chinese education industry inPoland.
