"Nanqi shu" is the explicit written by Xiao zixian who from the Liang Dybasty, is the earliest extant in biographical chronology of history."Nanqi shu" biography as "The first four history" extraordinary literary and artistic characteristics, but also to a certain extent, reflects the history of the overall style of literature in the southern dynasty. In this paper, the biography of "Nanqi shu" as the object of study, in order to reveal the characteristics of content and artistic value.The introduction part of this thesis, first of all is to research significance and the research status of the book of "Nanqi shu" biography, put forward the research object of this paper. The text part is divided into three parts:the first chapter, combing the development of Southern biography, the prosperity and artistic features of the official history, miscellaneous biography summarization of "Nanqi shu" creation background. Through the analysis of Xiao Zixian’s history of literature creation and consolidation, and biography of "Nanqi shu" history reflects the overall tendency to grasp. The second chapter, analyses the main content of the "Nanqi shu" biography. Creation of the book of Nan Qi Dynasty is closely related to the social situation and political rule. Xiao Zixian selected the character type. In the narrative of historical events also shows the characteristics of the imperial throne for landscaping. In the family from generation to generation of cultural accumulation, so the scholars mostly come from this class, very frequent literary gathering and literary activities."Nanqi shu" biography records many literati and literary activities, reflecting the literary atmosphere and literati association. Because of the influence of figures appreciation and criticism and "curious" atmosphere, the biographies"Nanqi shu" has also chosen many sidelights anecdotes, of the characters were added.
