Performance And Education On Banhu

Banhu, a string instrument of a Chinese traditional music, shared more than three hundred years civilization, is famous for its extraordinary and shining timber. Accompanied with Chinese Bangzi symphony orchestra when it was popular from late Ming era in China, Banhu began to develop from accompaniment to solo instrument gradually for it sextraordinary special regional style. After PRC was found, Banhu was greatly developed together with other shapes of Chinese traditional music, a large number of musicians devote their life to it. Banhu education began to be recognized and developed in Conservatories. However, the development speed of Banhu seems not as that fast as Erhu. It is an extremelyurgent mission to improve the way of Banhu Education and train excellent musicians. This thesis here with academic discussion, work analysis, teaching example, combine with author’s own learning and performing experience, concentrate on the analyze problems of deeply in performing and teaching, and present some comprehension and proposal.
