| Sergey Sergeyevich Prokofiev’s nine piano sonatas are the most representative and outstanding works among his all outputs, the three "Sonatas for War"(the sixth, the seventh and the eighth) of which mark his topest achievement. This thesis aims to study the three sonatas (Opp.82ã€83ã€84) and give a brief introduction of the creation process and their characteristics. The author then focus on the eighth piano sonata and put forward some viewpoints from the perspective of piano playing. |
