A Study On Liu Siqian Feminist Criticism

The Chinese contemporary literary criticism developed rapidly in the new period, feministcriticism as a branch of the contemporary literary criticism came into being,and then a largenumber of feminist critics appeared,but Liu siqian flys her own colours in the field of feministcriticism in her own unique insights to the feminist criticism and criticism method.Liu siqian isnot only a respected educational workers in colleges and universities but also a rational andmodest contemporary critics. The purpose of this paper is to present Liu siqian feminist criticismon the basis of available data and literature, helps us understand the characteristic of her criticismand thought foundation by using text research and sociological analysis method.At the sametime,it’s also in favor of the development of feminist criticism. Although Liu siqian has attractedmuch attention from the feminist researchers, there is no paper summarizes her feminist criticismseparately and systematacially.But this paper attempts to accomplish the work.The paper mainly includes four chapters:The first chapter mainly introduces the formingbackground of Liu siqian feminist criticism,it also includes two parts, one is the LiteraryCriticism and the other is literature transformation in the1980s. The second chapter introducesthe construction ofLiu siqian feminist theory,there is a key concept in this chapter put forward byLiu siqian,that is Female literature modernity.She puts forward her own ideas about the Femaleliterature modernity. The third chapter introduces the content and characteristics of feministcriticism of Liu siqian.The fourth chapter introduces the development of Chinese feministcriticism and problems we are facing,such as the problem of localization,context conversion,bisexual harmony and so on.The women’s humanism thought of Liu siqian is more suitable for the trend of socialdevelopment,but beause her comments and views is not drastic and popular like others’,so shehas received little attention. But studying the thought of Liu siqian till has great practical significance, especially palys the role of reference and inspiration for literature criticism of Chinatoday.
