| In our real daily life, people often recall and recognize the events, these events were totally different from real situation or never occurred, which termed this phenomenon false memory. Imagination inflation is a new filed of false memories study, which was firstly found by Garry, Manning, Loftus, and Sherman (1996), provided a new paradigm for the false memory, pushed forward the further research of false memories based on the daily life. Imagination inflation-subjects imaging childhood events (which were subsequently judged as more likely to have occurred than were not-imagined events) inflate confident that it occurred, which had significant research value in the clinical medicine, legal, business and educational field. It has been reported that, the influencing factors of imagination inflation mainly includes experimental operation, imagine target and individual differences. Due to the research on this process has just begun, and there are conversely opinions and questions. In order to in-depth explore the influencing factors for imagination inflation, imagination inflation paradigm is adopted in this paper. Two experiments about influencing factors of imagination inflation were designed in this paper, according to the three stages paradigm of imagination inflation. The results of the experiment show that:imagination inflation of different sensory channel, compared with visual presentation, auditory presentation can cause more obvious imagination inflation effect; along with repeat imagining, the more obvious the effect; the impact of the degree of familiarity on imagination inflation, compared with new events, familiar event can trigger more obvious effect; compared with adult events and passive events, childhood events and positive events both have more significant imagination inflation effect. |
