College English teaching reform requires a college English teacher with reasonable and perfect knowledge structure to improve the teaching level. Currently jobs’recruitment covers mainly in the academic, professional and research capacity as the main standard of talent, no excessive demands on teaching background. Teachers’ knowledge structure determines the quality of teaching. In order to explore the teachers’ current knowledge structure, we conduct the research.The researchers study this problem through a questionnaire, lectures and interviews by qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. The author analyses the teachers’ knowledge from the angle of English subject knowledge, teaching knowledge, technical knowledge and students’ knowledge from TPCK horizons. The content of the paper designs the following five parts:The first chapter is the introduction part including the content of study reasons, methods, research purpose and meaning, etc.The second chapter is to explain its details and contrast the concept of the structure of teachers’ knowledge about the current situation of the domestic and international knowledge structure on the basis of the literature analysis.The third Chapter uses the questionnaire, lectures and interviews to explore the further research on the basis of the knowledge structure theory in college English teachers.The fourth Chapter draws conclusions by comprehensive literature theory and other aspects of information.The fifth Chapter explains the inadequacies of the research as well as future prospects.The conclusion of this study is the following points:Firstly, in the study of individual factors on the extent of teachers’knowledge reserve, English teachers with higher degree education has higher Pedagogical knowledge. Teaching knowledge is more prominent with the change of teaching experience, and subject matter knowledge seniority impact is relatively low. The level of information technology with the seniority growth is negative growth trend. Secondly, the researchers also learn more about teachers’ways to acquire knowledge through the method of a questionnaire, lectures and interviews. College English teachers can gain the information from other teachers, teacher training, learning, reading books, and the spare time to survey.Finally, the researcher puts forward the suggestions from the point of view of teachers and school. For example, the school can give teachers more learning and training opportunities, and carry out the school-based training mode and settings files. Of course, the teachers can improve their knowledge through a variety of channels. In short, the improvement of the standard of teaching depends on teachers’ knowledge structure optimization. We should improve the teachers’ knowledge according to the current problems from a multi-angle optimization to promote the professional development of teachers, and improve teaching quality.
