Mozart and Beethoven, alongside Haydn, are known as three masters of Viennese Classical School.They have a profound impact on Europe music up to now. Their musical styles and composingcharacteristics are different though one inherited from the other. They have varied musical compositionstyles in their whole lives. Mozart and Beethoven serve as a link between past and future in thedevelopment of violin sonata. This paper bases on Mozart’s violin sonata KV.304and Beethoven’s violinsonata OP.24. It’s probed into the differences in musical forms, performance techniques and musical stylesof two compositions. It’s divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction which mainly accountsfor the research meaning, purpose, scope and status. The second part analyses the differences in sonatastructure and movement from musical form. The third part compares and analyses the performancetechniques of the two works in order to master different musical styles. The last part concludes theirinheritance and development relationship.The sublimation lifted from theory to practice from sense to reasonableness through study can providegeneral theoretical references for violin teaching and performance study. |
