Narrative Research Of The New Century Family Ethics Drama

Family ethical dramas are a type of TV dramas that are known for exhibiting family affection and ethical relations, with their narrative scenes based mainly on the backgrounds of families, and themes concerning moral and social values, and with their aesthetic purport related to the cultural connotation and value orientation. This type of dramas is one of the most influential and popular types of dramas in China. This paper, theoretically bases on Narratology, focusing on the most typical family dramas during a decade and more since the new century. While selecting family ethical films and dramas, the author studies some typical cases to analyze the narrative strategy, structure and style, in order to provide a theoretical reference for the production, development, concept and innovation of the new century family ethical dramas.
