Based on previous academic research about Shi Tao, this paper focuses on analysis of theworks’ painting characteristics and artistic value of ‘Search All Strange Peaks for Scratch’from Shi Tao, and pays special attention to the works’ point method and the analysis of inkusage method. Firstly, the paper analyzes the form of point method of this works, andcompares it with that in landscape painting of Shi Tao and other painters in order to analyzethe characteristics of the form of point method in Shi Tao works more clearly. Then, the paperanalyzes the ink usage methods in this works, especially discusses three methods: broken-ink,splashed-ink and misused-ink. The main theory supporting point in this paper is from ShiTao’s quotation, such as "I take for granted that I should use my own methods", etc. By theway of combination with theory and image, the paper explains and analyzes the successionand innovation in this works, as well as the influence from the temperament of Shi Taohimself on his paintings. At last, this paper makes a summary of the effect of the point methodand ink usage method of ‘Search All Strange Peaks for Scratch’, and by the analysis of ShiTao’s ink usage, we understand how Shi Tao learned the traditional methods in his paintingworks, and make clear the innovation of Shi Tao, so as to give some thoughts on myselfcreation.
